"Great, well equipped gite, although still feels very French...  We enjoyed shopping in St Vaast - great poissoneries...  Restaurant-wise we enjoyed La Panoramique and Le Debarcadere in St Vaast (great for pizza, moules and always popular with the locals - a good sign).  Also visited Sainte Mere Eglise, D-Day Beaches, Arromanches, War Cemeteries, Pointe du Hoc - all within easy distance."

"We liked Le Vast with superb waterfall.  St Pierre Eglise has a lovely restaurant in the square that takes you back about 50 years - all in all a great recharge and an enjoyable stay.  Many thanks."

"Pleasant evenings eating local food and drinking wine.  Local oysters are good.  Good circular drives for short-stay visitors who want to take things easy and not go far.  Particularly liked the coast route from Barfleur to Cherbourg."

"Just in case any Veggie should stay here, not easy to get much choice of food out and about but at 'Tcheau Suzanne at Montfarville adapted menu to suit - even for 3-year old...v. quick service to suit us with a 6-week old needing feeding... but clearly good at meeting client needs as slower with a couple with plenty of time and no pressure from children!"
